The best book of the Bible (In my opinion)

Proverbs is one of the best scriptures ever.  Each verse and chapter has so many meanings and offer so much wisdom.  Truly if one searches, studies and strives to understand they will fear Gods omnipotence and grace.

Let me win, but if I can not win. Let me be brave in the attempt.

Today I was reading in Psalms after my final in American Literature was over because I finished rater early.  I was reading through the first few chapters and a few verses stood out to me.  One of them was 1:6 saying, “Certainly the Lord guards the way of the Godly, but the way of the wicked ends in destruction.”  It is sad to think that the people who have heard and rejected God do not see that in the ends the have nothing.  We spend so much time in this world working for things that are not ours in the first place.  When one dies one loses everything if one is not saved by God.  If one is saved we gain everything.
    In chapter 3 verses 7-12 a small taste of God’s justice is shown to quote from my version “you will die because of your behavior, when his anger quickly ignites.”  God is a God over flowing with love, though I think we often forget is has great rage and pain for those against him and sin.
    Also something regarding government I believe would be Psalms 2: 1-3 saying, “2:1 Why do the nations rebel?  Why are the countries devising plots that will fail?  2:2 The kings of the earth form a united front;
the rulers collaborate against the Lord and his anointed king.  2:3 They say, “Let’s tear off the shackles they’ve put on us!”  In the following verses is find it funny that God simply laughs at them.

I think that the best book of Psalms is Psalms 23 saying:

23:1 The Lord is my shepherd,
I lack nothing.
23:2 He takes me to lush pastures,
he leads me to refreshing water.
23:3 He restores my strength.
He leads me down the right paths
for the sake of his reputation.
23:4 Even when I must walk through the darkest valley,
I fear no danger,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff reassure me.
23:5 You prepare a feast before me
in plain sight of my enemies.
You refresh my head with oil;
my cup is completely full.
23:6 Surely your goodness and faithfulness will pursue me all my days,
and I will live in the Lord’s house for the rest of my life.

These are just a few of the verses I love in Psalm; Psalms is one of my favorite books.

This is why we fight. LASD

Why do we fight? Why do we take the job that many see should be different? Why do we make the daily decision of whether or not to draw our gun, shoot, or arrest someone? Why do we go into work every day praying that we make it home? Next time someone stands next to you, that is why. We fight for the people next to us, we fight because we care, we fight so that both of us can go home safely.  We are not hero's and we cannot save everyone; we do not try to be hero's, but we do try to save as many as we can.  What do you fight for, why, and is it worth it?

Just finished watching the history channel on the ABZ (Asian Boyz) gang. Almost all of them were honor student, came from good families and pretended to have good lives. This just goes to show that the people around you are not always what they seem to be.
